Remove/Install Retaining Lock For Crankshaft - AR03.30-P-5001XGC

	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A

	Remove
1	Remove lower engine compartment paneling.		AR61.20-P-1105XG
2	Remove mounting console for low-temperature circuit switchover valve.		AR09.41-P-1240XGC
3	Unscrew nuts of the screws (2) and remove screws (2).
4	Remove cover (1) of the access opening.
5	Turn engine at center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation and check ring gear of the drive plate for damage.	Ring wrench If complaints are present, ↓ Replace drive plate.	Fig 1

6	Insert retaining lock in access opening.	If necessary, continue turning the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in direction of engine rotation until the retaining lock engages. Ring wrench	Fig 1

	Install
7	Remove retaining lock from access opening.	Retaining lock	Fig 2
8	Attach cover (1) and insert screws (2).
9	Position nuts of the screws (2).
10	Tighten screws (2).	Screw/bolt, transmission to engine	*BA27.10-P-1001-04H
11	Attach low-temperature circuit switchover valve mounting support.		AR09.41-P-1240XGC
		Bolt, mounting rail in lower engine compartment lining (front) to frame	*BA61.20-P-1002-01A
12	Install lower engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-P-1105XG
