| Remove | |||
| 1 | Detach brake caliper from front axle. | AR42.10-P-0070XG | |
| 2 | Remove break pads (1). | ||
| 3 | Pull right front brake pad wear sensor (S10/2) out of brake pad (1). | When replacing the break pads (1) or when replacing the right front brake pad wear sensor (S10/2). | |
| 4 | Remove spring steel sheets (3) from brake caliper support (2). | ||
| Check and measure | |||
| 5 | Check condition of brake discs and measure degree of wear. | ||
| If damage is present or the wear is outside the tolerance limit, ↓ Replace brake discs. |

| 6 | Check brake caliper with detachable parts for leaktightness and damage. | If a leak or damage is present, ↓ replace corresponding component parts. |

| Clean | |||
| 7 | Clean contact surfaces of break pads (1) on brake caliper and brake caliper support (2). | Do not damage the boots. Do not use sharp-edged or pointed objects. Otherwise replace the appropriate components. |

| Install | |||
| 8 | Push back brake piston using pusher tool. | If the brake pistons are sluggish, ↓ Replace brake caliper. |

| 9 | Install right front brake pad wear sensor (S10/2) in break pad (1). | When replacing the brake pads (1) or when replacing the right front brake pad wear sensor (S10/2). | |
| 10 | Install spring steel sheets (3) on brake caliper support (2). | ||
| 11 | Insert break pads (1) into brake caliper support (2). | Do not apply brake paste or lubricants to the break pads (1), the brake caliper supports (2) and the brake calipers. Otherwise malfunctions will occur. |

| 12 | Install brake caliper on front axle. | AR42.10-P-0070XG | |
| Initial startup | |||
| 13 | Operate brake pedal several times until break pads (1) contact brake discs. | ||
| 14 | Check and correct brake fluid level in expansion reservoir. | ||
