	Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

	Remove/install
1	Release parking brake by parking brake lever
2	Remove brake pads (2)		AR42.10-P-1710GWX
3	Remove banjo bolt (5)	Replace seals. Brake hose to rear axle floating caliper	*BA42.10-P-1005-04B
4	Seal exposed connections with plugs	Seal exposed connections immediately with stop plugs. Otherwise, the system venting process will be hampered. Record plug	Fig 2
5	Unhook brake cable from brake caliper (1) and remove brake caliper (1)	Only when replacing the brake caliper (1).
	Check
6	Check guide pin (3) for ease of movement	If a problem arises ↓ Replace brake caliper (1)
7	Check brake caliper (1) and dust boots of brake piston for leak tightness and damage	If a problem arises ↓ Replace brake caliper (1)
	Clean
8	Clean contact surfaces of brake linings (2) on brake caliper (1), on brake piston and on brake caliper support (6)	Do not use sharp-edged or pointy tools. Otherwise, the brake caliper (1) will be damaged. Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
9	Bleed brake system	Model 463.234 as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 with code ZQ0 (G 500 4x42 )	AR42.10-P-0010GW
10	Install in the reverse order
11	Adjust parking brake		AR42.20-P-0550GWX
12	Operate brake pedal several times until the brake linings (2) make contact with the brake discs, and a firm resistance is noticeable.

14	Carry out brake test on the test stand
