WARNING Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A 
WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove cap from expansion reservoir.    
2.1 Remove center, rear, front and right front section of lower engine compartment lining. Model 213 with engine 274, 642, 654
Model 238 with engine 274, 642, 654

2.2 Remove front and center section of lower engine compartment lining. Model 213, 238 with engine 276.8 AR61.20-P-1105LWE
  Drain off     
3 Slide drain hose onto fitting at drain valve (3).    
4 Open drain valve (3), drain coolant and collect with suitable container. NOTES
Open drain valve (3) only far enough for coolant to flow out.
Otherwise damage will occur on drain valve (3) and in engine cooling system radiator (4).
 
5 Close drain valve (3).    
6 Remove coolant hose at connection fitting (1) and collect escaping coolant with suitable container. Model 213 with engine 274, 654

7 Attach coolant hose to connection fitting (1). Model 213 with engine 274, 654

8 Remove coolant hose (31) at oil cooler (32) and collect escaping coolant with suitable container. Model 213, 238 with engine 654 with transmission 725.0 AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
9 Attach coolant hose (31) to oil cooler (32). Model 213, 238 with engine 654 with transmission 725.0 AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
  Pour in     
10 Pour in coolant and bleed engine cooling system. Model 213 with engine 274, 276.8, 642

11 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness. Model 213, 238 with engine 276.8 AR20.00-P-1011MND

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Perform engine test run; in this connection, check engine cooling system for proper operation.    
INSTALLING Install     
13.1 Install center, rear, front and right front section of lower engine compartment lining. Model 213 with engine 274, 642, 654 Model 238 with engine 274, 642, 654 AR61.20-P-1105LWE
13.2 Install front and center section of the bottom engine compartment lining. Model 213, 238 with engine 276.8 AR61.20-P-1105LWE
