3	Check size on camshaft and select correct special tool.	Without this check, the incorrect special tool may be used. An incorrect repair right up to engine damage will otherwise occur.	AR05.20-P-6027-01SZ
		There are different sizes for camshafts.

5	Turn engine at center bolt of the crankshaft through two revolutions, place engine on cylinder 1 at 40° KW after ignition TDC of cylinder 1 and mark with a drift.	Only turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation using the specified box wrench. Otherwise, damage to the engine or even failure of the engine may occur. 6	Install aligners (5).	Install bracket (4) with aligners (5) without applying force. Bracket (4) with aligners (5) is not suitable for moving camshafts into position. Otherwise, damage and incorrect timing occur The positions (arrows) of the camshafts must point upwards before assembly of the aligners (5).	AR05.20-P-6027-01SZ

		Do not turn the engine while the chain tensioner is removed.
		Otherwise damage can occur.

12	Remove control valves of the camshaft positioners (7).	Socket wrench bit	Fig 4
13	Raise secondary chain drive timing chain and remove camshaft positioners (7) from y camshafts.	The camshaft positioners (7) may only be reused if they had no noticeable problems in prior operation.
	Install
14	Raise secondary chain drive timing chain and attach camshaft positioners (7) to the camshafts.
15	Wet threads and bolt head contact surface of control valves with engine oil.

16	Screw in control valves of camshaft positioners (7), slightly tighten by hand and release by 1/4 of a turn.	Socket wrench bit	Fig 4

		Turning engine without bracket (4) leads to a skipping of the timing chain and thus to engine damage.

18	Position the tensioning rail centrally on the guide pins.
19	Install left and right secondary chain drive chain tensioners.		AR05.10-P-7800MNA
		Replace sealing rings of left and right secondary chain drive chain tensioners.
20	Install holding device (6) between the camshaft positioners (7) and tighten.		AR05.20-P-6027-01SZ

21	Tighten control valves of the camshaft positioners (7).	Tighten control valves with torque evenly and without interruption.

32	Connect diagnostic system and perform initialization of timings.
