Remove/Install Upper Coolant Expansion Reservoir For Low-Temperature Circuit - AR09.41-P-0050MNG

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove cap from coolant expansion reservoir (3)    
2 Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (3) FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02LA 
    SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
3 Actuate connector coupling, remove bleed line (5) from coolant expansion reservoir (3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 3
4 Actuate connector coupling, remove feed line (1) from coolant expansion reservoir (3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 3
5 Detach vacuum line (2) at coolant expansion reservoir (3).    
6 Remove screw/bolt (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir at top to low-pressure line *BA09.41-P-1011-01X 
7 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (3) in upward direction INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Wet elastomer bearing with antiseize paste.
Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DBL 6867.00
*BR00.45-Z-1002-06A 
8 Check elastomer bearing of coolant expansion reservoir (3) for damage If a problem arises

Replace elastomer bearing.
 
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Check coolant level in coolant expansion reservoir (3) and correct if necessary FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02LA 
11 Check low-temperature circuit for leaktightness Engine 177 in model 205 AR09.41-P-1011MNA

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Perform an engine test run and in doing so check low-temperature circuit for proper function
