16	Detach right and left oil cooling line from transmission (1) and oil pan and place to one side	Before starting work the area surrounding the oil cooler lines must be thoroughly cleaned in the area around the separation points on the transmission (1). Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the transmission (1).
		Make sure that the oil cooling lines are not kinked or bent. Leaks can otherwise occur. Seal off the connections on the transmission (1) and on the oil cooling lines using suitable stop plugs. Replace O-rings.

19	Mark position of front flexible coupling (9) in relation to output flange	Observe marking.
20	Remove front flexible coupling (9) of propeller shaft	To do so, release pilot bushing of front flexible coupling (9) from output flange. The front flexible coupling (9) remains on the propeller shaft. Check the front flexible coupling (9) for damage and replace if necessary. Install new self-locking nuts.

22	Remove bolts (12) and pry off torque converter (11) uniformly using long wedge from driver spider	Continue turning the engine in the direction of engine rotation using socket on the crankshaft center bolt. If the center bolt is not accessible, continue turning the torque converter using a wide screwdriver. ENGINE 271 Unscrew bolts (12) from the front through the hole of the torque converter threaded connection (arrow) in the crankcase. Replace bolts (12).
