Remove/Install Additional Battery - AR54.10-P-0007MEH

Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing
Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.
No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

Remove/install     
1 Remove rear shelf from vehicle. Model 167.3  
2 Lift load compartment floor until electrical connector of KEYLESS-GO antenna in front of load compartment is accessible.    
3 Disconnect electrical connector of KEYLESS-GO antenna and remove load compartment floor from vehicle. The KEYLESS-GO antenna remains on the load compartment floor.  
4 Remove right load compartment cover. Model 167.1 AR68.30-P-4800ME
    Model 167.3 AR68.30-P-1185MEC
5 Remove rear fuse and relay module with holder and place to one side with lines attached.   AR54.15-P-0001ME 
6 Unclip rear signal acquisition and actuation module from holder (1) and place to one side with lines attached   AR54.21-P-1273ME 
7 Remove bolt (2). Screw, load compartment floor mounting support to body *BA68.30-P-1002-01G 
8 Remove screw (3) and remove mounting support (4).    
9 Detach nuts (5) and remove holder (1).    
10 Remove ground line (6) from ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13).    
  Check     
11 Use diode test lamp to check on-board electrical system for voltage between positive line (7) of ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G113) and a suitable ground point. If the diode test lamp lights up,  
     
    Detach ground line from on-board electrical system battery and check the on-board electrical system after completing the work.

12 Remove positive terminal cover.    
13 Remove positive line (7) from ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13). Icon
Cover up positive line (7) of ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13). Otherwise, a short circuit may occur.
 
14 Unfasten nuts (8).    
15 Unfasten holder (9).    
16 Remove vent hose from auxiliary battery of ECO start/stop function (G1/13).    
17 Remove auxiliary battery of ECO start/stop function (G1/13) upwards.    
18 Install in the reverse order.
