Operation step 6

	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. 	Remove/install
1	Drain off coolant.		AR20.00-D-1142TSR
2	Remove air filter housing.		AR09.10-D-1150TSV
3	Remove vacuum line (4) from cover of left cylinder head cover.
4	Remove bracket (1).	To do so, remove screws of bracket (1). Place bracket (1) outside of working area. Bolt, bracket to charge-air distributor	*BA09.41-N-1002-01O
5	Remove hose (2) from bracket (3).
6	Remove hose (6) from coolant thermostat (5).		AR20.20-S-3865-15S
7	Remove leak oil line (8) from coolant thermostat (5).
8	Remove coolant thermostat (5).	To do this, remove bolts (7). Collect coolant which flows out. Check seal (9) for damage. Clean sealing surfaces. Commercially available devices/tools  Collecting pan Loctite 7200	*BR00.45-Z-1038-04A
		Bolt, coolant thermostat housing to charge air distributor Depending on the findings, ↓ Replace coolant thermostat (5). The coolant thermostat (5) and the colon thermostat housing form a unit and can only be replaced together.	*BA20.10-N-1002-01TSV
9	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10	Perform engine test run and while doing so, check leak tightness in area of coolant thermostat housing and check function of coolant thermostat (5).
