3	Release HERMES control unit with holder and place to one side with attached lines.

4	Remove COMAND display.

5	Remove bottom trim for instrument panel on driver's side.

6	Release driver's side fuse and relay module (K40/6).
	Assignment of driver-side fuse and relay module		GF54.15-P-1256-49FR
		so that electrical fuse 204 (K40/6f204) is accessible.	AR54.15-P-0003FR
7	Remove driver's side door sill.
	Install
8	Fabricate adhesive film cutting template for CD drive (1).		AZ82.64-P-0002-05LF
9	Cut adhesive film using cutting template.
10	Fabricate cutting template for CD drive (1).		AZ82.64-P-0002-10LWP
11	Fabricate drilling template for CD drive (1).		AZ82.64-P-0002-07LWP
12	Prepare glove compartment housing for installation of CD drive (1).		AZ82.64-P-0002-08LWP
13	Make cutout at glove compartment housing.		AZ82.64-P-0002-11LWP
14	Retrofit wiring harness for CD drive (1).		AZ82.64-P-0002-01LWE

15	Insert 5 A fuse in slot f204 of driver's side fuse and relay module (K40/6).
	Assignment of driver-side fuse and relay module		GF54.15-P-1256-49FR
16	Place glove compartment housing in front passenger footwell.
17	Retrofit CD drive (1) in glove compartment housing.		AZ82.64-P-0002-03LWR
18	Attach absorption fleece sheets at glove compartment housing.
19	Install glove compartment housing with CD drive (1).
		Pay attention to installation of lines.	AR68.10-P-1402FR
20	Install remaining parts.
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
21	Enter special equipment into online vehicle data card.	Code 320 (Single CD drive pre-installation)  .
22	Attach "CD drive retrofitted as per AN82.64-P-0002FR" under field organization texts.	On DG 82 and DG 54.
23	Connect diagnostic system and select vehicle using vehicle identification number (VIN).

24	Perform variant coding using the software calibration number (SCN).	Head unit.
25	Disconnect diagnostic system.
