Take out roller cam follower (1) with valve clearance compensating element (2) | If necessary mark the roller cam follower (1) relative to the valve clearance compensating element (2). |

| 3 | Remove the clamp (3) by hand and take off valve clearance compensating element (2) from roller cam follower (1) | ||

| 4 | Check valve clearance compensating element (2) for proper operation and replace if necessary | Only push valve clearance compensating element (2) together by hand, do not use a steel tool. The surface of the valve clearance compensating element (2) can get damaged otherwise. If a number of valve clearance compensating element (2) are defective. ↓ Check compress oil supply of cylinder head. |
