Detach/Attach Electric Machine On Transmission - AR08.10-P-0002OLG

1 Remove transmission (2) with electric machine (1). Model 205.013/213 with engine 654 with transmission 725.0

2 Clean transmission (2) in area of oil pan and connection to electric machine (1). Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
3 Fasten transmission (2) to assembly device.   AR27.10-P-0600-01MRD
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 00 31 00 Assembly stand for cars   WS01.00-Z-3028KOB
    IMPORTANT Commercially available devices/tools  
    Boom crane

4 Remove fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8).   AR27.19-P-0200EWM
5 Turn transmission (2) with electric machine (1) downward.    
6 Remove screws (s1).    
7 Loosen screws (s2). NOTES
Never remove screws/bolts (s2).
The electric machine (1) will otherwise be damaged due to falling down.		  
8 Turn transmission (2) with electric machine (1) upward.    
9 Attach lifting device to electric machine (1) and fasten to boom crane. IMPORTANT Commercially available devices/tools

10 Remove screws (s2).    
11 Remove electric machine (1) from transmission (2) and cover transmission (2) IMPORTANT Oil flows around electric machine (1).  
  with cover cap. SPECIAL TOOL Protective cap Fig 4
INSTALLING Install     
12 Remove cover cap from transmission (2).    
13 Clean sealing surfaces at transmission (2) and electric machine (1). Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
14 Mount seal on transmission (2). IMPORTANT Replace seal.  
15 Position spacers on sealing surface. IMPORTANT Spacers are part of lifting device.
SPECIAL TOOL Lifting device		 Fig 5
16 Position electric machine (1) horizontally over transmission (2). NOTES
Position electric machine (1) horizontally. Damage will otherwise occur during merging.		  
17 Lower electric machine (1) onto transmission (2) until it lies on the spacers. IMPORTANT If necessary, turn rotor of electric machine (1) multiple times until electric machine (1) and transmission (2) slip into each other.
IMPORTANT Helper required.		  
18 Lift electric machine (1) very slightly and remove spacers.    
19 Fully lower electric machine (1) onto transmission (2).    
20 Tighten screws (s2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, adapter housing to torque converter housing/drive unit housing *BA27.10-P-1022-04H 
21 Release lifting device from boom crane and remove from electric machine (1).    
22 Turn transmission (2) with electric machine (1) downward.    
23 Tighten screws (s1). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, adapter housing to torque converter housing/drive unit housing *BA27.10-P-1022-04H 
24 Install fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8).   AR27.19-P-0200EWM
25 Remove transmission (2) from assembly device.    
26 Install transmission (2) with electric machine (1). Model 205.013/213 with engine 654 with transmission 725.0

    Model 205.053/253 with engine 274.9 with transmission 725.0

27 Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
28 Perform adaptation of electric machine rotor position sensor (L20) in power electronics control unit (N129/1). When replacing the electric machine (1).  
29 Disconnect diagnostic system.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION COMPLETE
