	Remove/install
1	Remove spark plugs.
		Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247	AP15.10-P-1580F
		Engine 282 in model 118, 177, 247	AP15.10-P-1580I
2	Remove front section of the front right fender liner.		AR88.10-P-1301MFA
3	Move piston of the cylinder to be checked at the center bolt of the crankshaft to bottom dead center (BDC).	Rotate Engine at center Bolt, crankshaft in the direction of Engine rotation. Socket wrench bit	Fig 1
4	Connect light source (1) and insert endoscope (2) through the bore of the spark plug into the cylinder.

	000 588 27 21 00 Endoscope	If there is 'scoring' (wear to the cylinder), the cylinder barrel has become rough and honing marks are no longer visible. If the condition of the cylinder barrel is not clearly recognizable, ↓ Remove cylinder head.	WS01.00-P-0252B

6	Perform check of other cylinders in the same way.
7	Install in the reverse order.
