Remove/Install Evaporator - AR83.30-P-5540MFA

DANGER Risk of fire  due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234yf refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion  due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated. WARNING Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors from an air conditioning system containing R134a. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid R134a refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated. AS83.00-Z-0006-01A 
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove air conditioner housing (A32). Model 118, 177, 247 AR83.30-P-5200MFA 
    Model 243 AR83.30-P-5200EQA
2 Remove heat exchanger.   AR83.25-P-1100MFA 
3 Remove blower motor (A32m1).   AR83.25-P-1200MFA 
4 Remove electronic blower regulator (A32n1).   AR83.25-P-1220MFA 
5 Remove dust filter.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP83.00-P-8350MFA 
6 Remove expansion valve.   AR83.30-P-5520MFA 
7 Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.    
8 Unscrew screws (2) and remove housing (3).    
9 Remove electrical wiring harness (4) from evaporator housing (5).    
10 Remove screw/bolts (6).    
11 Remove air distribution housing (7).    
12 Install in the reverse order. IMPORTANT The evaporator housing (5) and the evaporator form a unit and can only be replaced together.
