Remove/Install Air Conditioner Housing - AR83.30-P-5200MFA

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove expansion valve.   AR83.30-P-5520MFA 
2 Carefully open cap at coolant expansion reservoir, release pressure in coolant system, and close cap again.    
3 Release and disconnect coolant hoses (3), and seal exposed connections with suitable protective covers. IMPORTANT Collect escaping coolant in suitable container. AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

4 Remove crossmember under instrument panel.   AR68.10-P-1120MFA
5 Remove powertrain control unit (N127) and place to one side with connected lines. Model 118, 177, 247 with engine 139, 260, 282, 608, 654
NOTES
Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.

6 Remove holder of powertrain control unit (N127) from air conditioner housing (A32). If air conditioner housing (A32) is replaced.  
7 Detach drain hose (1) from air conditioner housing (A32). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Check drain hose (1) is correctly seated on air conditioner housing (A32) and body opening. AR83.30-P-5200-03A 
8 Disconnect positive line and ground line from PTC heater booster (R22/3). Model 118, 177, 247 with engine 608, 654 AR83.70-P-8000MFA
9 Release and disconnect electrical connectors from air conditioner housing (A32). IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.  
10 Remove electrical wiring harnesses from air conditioner housing (A32).    
11 Guide air ducts at bottom out of air conditioner housing (A32).    
12 Carefully take air conditioner housing (A32) off holders (2) and remove. IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.  
13 Remove detachable parts of air conditioner housing (A32). If air conditioner housing (A32) is replaced.  
14 Install in the reverse order.    
15 Fill coolant, bleed engine cooling system, and check for leak tightness. Model 118, 177, 247.7 with engine 139 AR20.00-P-1142MFG
