	Remove/install
1	Remove center and front bottom engine compartment lining.	: Install center and front engine compartment lining only after leak test has been performed.	AR61.20-P-1105LF
2	Position engine at center bolt of crankshaft to a 53° after ignition TDC of cylinder 1.		AR01.10-P-1000-01SZ
		Only turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation using the specified box wrench. Otherwise, damage to the engine or even failure of the engine may occur.

3	Check basic position of camshafts.		AR05.20-P-6010MNL
		: Do not install upper engine cover until after the leak test.
4	Position engine in direction of engine rotation at cylinder 1 to a 40° crank angle (CKA) after ignition TDC of cylinder 1 and fix belt pulley with drift.		AR01.10-P-1000-01SZ
		Only turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation using the specified box wrench. Otherwise, damage to the engine or even failure of the engine may occur. 400 crank angle after ignition TDC of cylinder 1 corresponds to rib (8).

5	Remove boot (3) with attached purge lines	Bolt, clamp for charge air hose to charge-air distributor	*BA09.41-P-1002-01X
6	Remove secondary chain tensioner (1).	Only turn crankshaft when the secondary chain tensioner (1) is installed. Otherwise, the timing chain skips. : Install new sealing ring for secondary chain tensioner (1).
		Chain tensioner to cylinder head	*BA05.10-P-1003-01V
7	Install in the reverse order.
	Concluding tasks
8	Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.

9	Perform engine test run; in this connection, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
