Position clamp (7) between exhaust gas turbocharger and exhaust manifold and align.

3	Remove catalytic converters and secure against falling down.	Right catalytic converter	AR49.20-P-0102MNM

4	Remove vacuum lines (2) from left exhaust gas turbocharger (1), right exhaust gas turbocharger (6), and from switchover valve.
5	Remove boot (3) from left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).
6	Remove charge air hose of charge air cooler from left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).
7	Remove oil feed line (4).		AR09.40-P-6040MNM
8	Remove coolant circuit return line.		AR20.20-P-1101MNM
9	Remove coolant feed pipe (5) from right exhaust gas turbocharger (6).
10	Remove coolant feed pipe (5) from cylinder head.
11	Open clamp (7).
12	Remove left exhaust gas turbocharger (1) with coolant feed pipe (5) and oil return feed line.
13	Remove coolant feed pipe (5) from left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).	Only when replacing the left ATL (1).

14	Remove oil return feed line of the left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).		AR09.40-P-6041MNM
15	Remove vent hose (8).	Only when replacing the left ATL (1).

18	Attach coolant feed pipe (5) to left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).	Only when replacing the left ATL (1).

		Replace clamp (7).
20	Install assembly tool on left exhaust gas turbocharger (1) and on oil return feed line and tighten screw.	Assembly tool	Fig 4
21	Install left exhaust gas turbocharger (1) with coolant feed pipe (5) and oil return feed line.	Replace sealing ring on left exhaust manifold.

22	Install template on left exhaust gas turbocharger (1) and on right exhaust gas turbocharger (6) and tighten screws in the mount of the oil feed line (4).	Template	Fig 2

30	Attach charge air hose of the charge air cooler to the left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).	Bolt, clamp for charge air hose to charge-air distributor	*BA09.41-P-1002-01X
31	Install boot (3) on left exhaust gas turbocharger (1).	Clamp, boot to exhaust gas turbocharger/air filter	*BA01.20-P-1003-01J
32	Attach vacuum line (2) to left exhaust gas turbocharger (1), right exhaust gas turbocharger (6), and switchover valve.	Use new vacuum line (2).

		Do not install center and lower front engine compartment lining until after leak test.

36	Check oil level of engine and correct.

	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
