Remove/Install Rear Track Rod - AR35.20-P-0109LW

Model 213 (except 213.064/088/089/264/288/289) 

Shown on left side of vehicle

  Notes on handling, transport and storage of composite brake disks   AH42.10-P-9406-12LF
  Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process   AH00.00-P-0020-01A
  Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
  Notes on repair work on suspension components   AH00.00-P-0100-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove rear wheel   AR40.10-P-1102A
2 Detach underfloor paneling in area of tie rod (1)   AR61.30-P-1001LWE
3 Mark installation position of eccentric disk (2) IMPORTANT The toe-in is set at the factory using the eccentric disk (2).  
4 Remove tie rod (1) from rear axle carrier (3) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe the marking on the eccentric disk (2).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, tie rod to rear axle carrier

    SPECIAL TOOL Screwdriver bit Fig 2
5 Detach tie rod (1) from wheel carrier (4) and remove TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, tie rod to wheel carrier *BA35.20-P-1001-04M 
    SPECIAL TOOL Screwdriver bit Fig 2
INSPECT Check     
6 Check tie rod (1) for condition and signs of damage If a problem arises

Replace tie rod (1).
 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Perform wheel alignment check   AR40.20-P-0200LW
