	Remove
1	Remove upper engine cover
2	Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter
3	Detach partial load throttle bleed line from air intake pipe (4)
4	Release and disconnect electrical connection for wide open throttle vent line heater element

5.2	Remove wide open throttle bleed line with oil separator	Engine 274.9 in model 213 with code 494 (US version) Engine 274.9 in model 213 with code 945 (China Stage 6 exhaust treatment) The wide open throttle vent line, the oil separator and the air intake pipe (4) are firmly connected together and can only be removed together. 6	Unclip subharness (2) at air intake pipe (4)
7	Release clamps (3, 5) and detach air intake pipe (4)
8	Remove compensation ring between air intake pipe (4) and exhaust gas turbocharger from exhaust gas turbocharger
	Install
9	Install new compensating ring in the fitting of the air intake pipe (4) and wet with lubricant	Lubricant	*BR00.45-Z-1032-06A
10	Position air intake pipe (4)
11	Tighten clamps (3, 5)
12	Clip subharness (2) into air intake pipe (4)

14	Connect electrical connector of wide-open-throttle bleed line heating element
15	Push partial load vent line onto air intake pipe (4)
16	Install engine air intake duct upstream of air filter
	Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. 	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
