	Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. 	Remove/install
1	Remove center and rear lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
		: Only install center and rear lower rear engine compartment paneling again after leak test.
2	Remove the left and right underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001LWE
3	Remove rear diagonal struts	Engine 274.9 in model 238.4
			AR61.10-P-5142LWP
4	Remove rear reinforcement	Bolt, rear reinforcement to frame floor assembly	*BA61.10-P-1004-01L
5	Remove temperature sensor for NOx storage catalytic converter from exhaust system (4)	Engine 274.9 in model 238 with code 920 (Direct fuel injection with stratified charging)

6	Remove NOx sensor from exhaust system (4)	Engine 274.9 in model 238 with code 920 (Direct fuel injection with stratified charging)

7	Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust flap (7)	Engine 274.9 in model 238 with code U21 (AMG Performance exhaust system)
8	Support exhaust system (4)

9	Remove clamp (2)	: Replace clamp (2).
		Clamp to catalytic converter and front exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1002-02I
10	Unscrew nut of decoupling element from holder (3)	Bolt, bracket for decoupling element to body/exhaust system at front	*BA49.10-P-1008-02I
11	Remove elastomer bearings (5, 6) from exhaust system (4) + _
12	Remove exhaust system (4)	Aid of helper required.
	Check
13	Check the elastomer bearing (5, 6) and decoupling element for damage and wear and replace if necessary	Bolt, bracket for decoupling element to body/exhaust system at front	*BA49.10-P-1008-02I
	Clean
14	Remove combustion and corrosion residues on the connecting points from CAT (1) and exhaust system (4)
15	Install in the reverse order
16	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of exhaust system (4) and correct i necessary
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
17	Carry out an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
18	Install center and lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
