	Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.	Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.	AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove the transmission	Engine 177 in model 213 with transmission 725.09 with code M005 (4MATIC) Install center and rear sections of lower engine compartment paneling only after a leak test.	AR27.10-P-0505MNE
2	Remove turbocharger heat shield	Only install top engine cover after the leak test.	AR09.40-P-6044MNE
3	Disconnect engine wiring harness at bulkhead, and place to side		AR15.18-P-1000-05MNE
		Nut, positive line to busbar on firewall	*BA54.18-P-1001-02C
4	Remove right oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter		AR07.04-P-0083MNE
5	Remove left oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter		AR07.04-P-0081MNE
6	Remove right lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter		AR07.04-P-0084MNE
7	Remove left oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter		AR07.04-P-0082MNE
8	Remove clamps (3)		AR09.40-P-6018-01MNE
		Align clamps (3) between turbochargers and catalytic converters (1, 2). If one-piece clamps (3) are installed, they must be replaced. If two-piece clamps (3) are installed, replace screws/bolts and nuts.
		Clamp, front exhaust system to turbocharger	*BA49.10-P-1001-02E
9	Disconnect steering coupling		AR46.10-P-8000LW
10	Remove screw/bolts (4)	Bolt, butterfly bracket to catalytic converter	*BA49.10-P-1003-02E
11	Remove screws/bolts (6), and remove bracket (5)	Bolt, butterfly bracket to bracket	*BA49.10-P-1002-02E
12	Release left catalytic converter (1) and right catalytic converter (2) from turbochargers
13	Remove screws/bolts (8), and remove bracket (7)	Bolt, exhaust system bracket to front of crankcase	*BA49.10-P-1006-02E
14	Remove left catalytic converter (1) and right catalytic converter (2) downwards
15	Remove combustion and corrosion residues at flange connections
16	Install in the reverse order
17	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of left catalytic converter (1) and right catalytic converter (2)	In case of a complaint ↓ Realign left catalytic converter (1) and right catalytic converter (2).
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
18	Perform engine test run to test exhaust system function and check for leaks
19	Install center and rear sections of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
20	Install upper engine cover		AR01.10-P-2405MNE
