	Remove/install
1	Shift transmission into neutral position
2	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
3	Release right catalytic converter from brackets and clamps		AR49.20-P-0103MNE
4	Remove lower brackets from right catalytic converter	Bolt, exhaust system bracket to transmission	*BA49.10-P-1009-02E
		Bolt, bracket for catalytic converter to catalytic converter/bracket	*BA49.10-P-1011-02E
5	Remove heat shield (2)	Collar bolt, heat shield to holder of heat shield/retaining plate/front axle differential	*BA33.30-P-1009-03G
6	Remove bracket of heat shield (2)	Collar bolt, holder for heat shield to transmission/holder for exhaust system	*BA33.30-P-1010-03G
7	Operate service brake and remove screws/bolts (3)	Do not counterhold the propeller shaft (1) at the universal joint. The needle roller bearings and seals of the propeller shaft (1) will otherwise be damaged. Helper required. Screw/bolt, propeller shaft to front axle gear	*BA33.30-P-1012-03G
8	Remove transfer case (9)	The marking (arrow) on the output flange gearing must line up exactly with the marking (arrow) on the propeller shaft (1).	AR28.10-P-0100MNE
		Grease splined profile (8). Klueber Microlube GNY 202	*BR00.45-Z-1071-06A
9	Detach propeller shaft (1) from front axle differential and remove downwards
10	Check seal bellows (6) for damage	When reusing the drive shaft (1). In the case of complaints. ↓ Install new seal bellows (6).	AR41.10-P-0070-01A
		Long-life grease (NLGI grade 2)	BB00.40-P-0266-02A
11	Install in the reverse order
