DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
2 Remove rear wheel and tire assembly.   AR40.10-P-1100RQ
3 Pry tie rod (1) off wheel carrier (2). IMPORTANT The ball stud must be counterheld using a suitable tool.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, tie rod to wheel carrier *BA35.20-P-1001-04J

4 Remove tie rod (1) from body. INSTALLATION NOTES
Bolts and nuts for suspension components may only be tightened when in ready-to-drive condition.
Otherwise, the suspension components may be damaged.
 
    NOTES
While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches.
Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Screws/bolts and nuts of suspension components must always be replaced.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, tie rod to wheel carrier *BA35.20-P-1002-04J 
5 Install in the reverse order.    
MEASURING Measure     
6 Perform chassis alignment.   AR40.20-P-0200RQ
