| 1 | Open engine hood, move to upright position and close | AR88.40-P-1000RG | |
| 2 | Remove upper engine cover over expansion reservoir (2) | Do not tilt upper engine cover, but lift it off vertically toward top. Otherwise, the retaining lugs may break off. |

| 3 | Unscrew cover from expansion reservoir (1) and extract hydraulic fluid from expansion reservoir (2) | Before opening the hydraulic system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Otherwise, even the smallest particles, introduced into the hydraulic system may lead to component malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system. |

| 5 | Release hose clamps (3) and detach hydraulic hoses from expansion reservoir (2) | ||
