| 3 | Remove all A-pillar panelings | AR68.30-P-4050RGR | |
| 4 | Remove seal (1) from windshield crossmember (3) and A-pillars | ||
| Clean | |||
| 5 | Remove sealant residues | ||
| 6 | Clean the sealing surfaces in the area around the bonding surfaces on the crossmember above windshield (3) and on both A-pillars | Otherwise leakage is not possible. |

| 7 | Position the new seal (1) at the corners (arrows A) of the crossmember above the windshield (3) and press retaining lugs (2) into the bodyshell cutout | ||
| 8 | Remove the protective foil of the adhesively bonded connection in the area around the crossmember above the windshield (3) and firmly press on seal (1), starting at the corners (arrows A) | ||
| 9 | Remove the protective foil of the adhesively bonded connection in the area around the A-pillars and press seal (1) onto the retaining strips (4), starting at the corners (arrows A) | ||
| 10 | Press the seal (1) with a roller in the area around the crossmember above windshield (3) | Fig 2 | |
