REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Open soft top half way so that the header bow (2) is in the center position as shown.    
2 Support soft top with fixture. SPECIAL TOOL Support Fig 2
3 Move front seat forward and upward.    
4 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
5 Remove seat belt end fitting.   AR91.40-P-1030-02A
6 Unclip cover (5) toward front. SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
7 Remove center beltline trim.   AR68.30-P-0600RGR 
8 Remove screws (14, 15).    
9 Release Velcro fastener of the drain funnel in the area of the B-pillar from the side trim (1). INSTALLATION NOTES Ensure that the Velcro fastener of the drain funnel is seated correctly on the side trim (1). Otherwise, water entry in the vehicle will occur.  
10 Unclip side trim (1) from the retaining clips (7) upward.    
11 Remove side trim (1) upward and, in doing so, guide seat belt (9) through the opening in the side trim (1). INSTALLATION NOTES Carefully guide side trim (1) past header bows (2).
The cover of header bows (2) may otherwise be damaged.
INSTALLATION NOTES Ensure that the soft top canvas (8) is positioned correctly above the side trim (1) (arrow A).
Soft top canvas (8) may otherwise be damaged during the closing of the soft top.
INSTALLATION NOTES Do not get tensioning cables (11) of the soft top caught.
These will otherwise be damaged during the closing of the soft top.
INSTALLATION NOTES Do not get soft top caught under the side trim (1). The soft top will otherwise be damaged during closing.
 
12 Install in the reverse order.
