	Injury hazard  from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.	When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

	Remove/install
1.1	Remove water drain above windshield wiper mechanism	Model 164	AR83.25-P-1406GZ
1.2	Remove air/water duct until air/water duct can be placed to one side with spray nozzles and with washer fluid hoses connected	Model 166, 292 Do not detach washer fluid hoses from spray nozzles. Otherwise the spray nozzles break off.	AR83.25-P-1402GQ
2	Disconnect electrical connector from wiper park position heater and unclip	Model 166, 292 with code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated) Model 166, 292 with code 875 (Heated windshield washer system)
3	Remove bolt (1)	Do not change installation position of windshield wiper mechanism bracket (3) at partition wall. Otherwise the contact pressure of the wiper arms changes and thus the wiping pattern.
4	Remove bolts (2)	Bolt, window wiper frame to body	*BA82.30-P-1003-01J
5	Lift windshield wiper mechanism (4) and disconnect electrical connector (5) from wiper motor (M6/1)
6	Remove windshield wiper mechanism (4)
7	Install in the reverse order
	Adjust
8	Adjust windshield wiper system		AR82.30-P-6400-01GZ
9	Perform function test of windshield wiper system
