Remove/install rear axle brake disk - AR42.10-P-0240GG

MODEL 461 with disk brakes at the rear axle 

MODEL 463 (except 463.234/270/271) up to model year 2013 except CODE 979 (Special protection MB Guard) with disk brakes at the rear axle

	Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A

	Check
1	Check lining thickness of brake linings and condition of brake disks
			AP42.10-P-4251G
		If the brake linings are worn beyond the permissible wear limit: ↓ Inspect brake system for leaks with pressure tester. The web between the sealing groove and the dust cap (5) may be damaged.
	Remove/install
2	Remove rear axle brake caliper and secure to vehicle free of tension with lines connected		AR42.10-P-0080AA
		Do not tension or kink brake hose. Otherwise the brake hose will be damaged.
3	Remove brake linings
4	Remove brake caliper support (6)	The self-locking bolts must be replaced.

5	Reset parking-brake brake shoes		AR42.20-P-0540GI
6	Remove security bolt and remove brake disk	The security bolt must be replaced.
		Model 461 with disk brakes at the rear axle Model 463 (except 463.270/271) up to model year 2013 with disk brakes at the rear axle Safety screw, brake disk to wheel hub	BA42.10-P-1001-06B
	Clean
7	Clean and lightly grease contact surface and seat of brake disk	Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Adjust parking brake		AR42.20-P-0540GI
11	Hydraulic brake system - Check fluid level and correct if necessary
