Remove/Install Constant Velocity Joint Or Boot Of Splined Rear Axle Shaft - AR35.30-P-0662OLC

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove rear axle shaft (37a) Model 213.088/089/288/289 AR35.30-P-0621MNE 
    Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289), 238
IMPORTANT Because a repair is only possible on certain rear axle shafts (37a), the availability of a repair kit should be checked in the EPC beforehand!
AR35.30-P-0621OLC 
2 Clamp rear axle shaft (37a) using protective jaws in vise    
3 Remove clamp (37k)    
4 Remove cup seal (37i) from inner joint ring (37c) or outer joint ring (37b)   AR35.30-P-0662-01OLC 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Filling capacity for joint housing *BF35.30-P-1001-01G 
5 Dismantle constant-velocity joint   AR35.30-P-0662-03OLC 
6 Press off joint hub (37d) from rear axle shaft (37a)   AR35.30-P-0662-02OLC 
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Shell halves (2 ea.) for pressing off and caulking the inner constant velocity joint   WF58.50-P-3530-01A
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Staking tool for securing joint hub on rear halfshaft   WF58.50-P-3530-07P
    SPECIAL TOOL Drift Fig 2
7 Remove boot (37l) of opposite constant velocity joint If necessary.
IMPORTANT Boot (37l) can be pulled off over the rear axle shaft (37a).
 
INSPECT Check     
8 Check constant velocity joints for wear If there are problems

Replace rear axle shaft (37).

9 Install in the reverse order    
REAR AXLE SHAFT, PLUGGED IN SHAFTS
