Interior illumination (IBL) in general 

The interior illumination includes the actuation of all lamps in the vehicle interior. Depending on various requirements, individual lighting functions will be switched on or off.

The master control unit for the interior illumination is the front SAM control unit (N10/6).

The interior illumination consists of the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:
