DANGER The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1 Remove all detachable parts in area of repair point.    
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with welding protection blankets. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

3.1 Remove respective sidewall paneling up to window cutout. Only with corresponding damage profile.

5 Remove outer rear wheel well (1) section. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

Spot weld milling machine
Rotary wire brush
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner		 AR63.10-S-0660-02E 
    Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding *BR00.45-Z-1001-07A 
6 Partially prepare rear outer wheel well (1). IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Body power jigsaw
Rotary wire brush
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner		 AR63.10-S-0660-03E 
    Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding *BR00.45-Z-1001-07A 
INSTALLING Install     
7 Install and weld in outer rear wheel well (1) section.   AR63.10-S-0660-04E 
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 13 84 00 Welder IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Clamping pliers (Standard)
Hand drill
Rotary wire brush
Blind riveting tool (set force > 19 kN)
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner		 WS60.00-P-0437K
    Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding *BR00.45-Z-1001-07A 
    Blind rivet 6.4x14 (clamping range 1 mm to 8.5 mm, draw-off strength min. 10.8 kN) *BR00.45-Z-1001-13A 
8 Install rear sidewall paneling lower section. Only if removing sidewall paneling up to sliding door guide rail or sidewall paneling up to window cutout. AR63.10-S-5665E 
9.1 Install respective sidewall paneling up to window cutout. Only with corresponding damage profile.
