	Remove
1	Remove left or right hub reduction gear.		AR35.25-P-0645GWX
2	Disconnect housing halves and remove wheel hub (36).		AR35.25-P-0650-01GWX

3	Remove thrust plate (2) from wheel hub (36).
4	Take wheel hub (36) out of assembly tool.	Assembly tool	Fig 3
5	Remove shaft seal (32) using a suitable tool.	Replace shaft seal (32).
	Clean
6	Clean all removed parts with suitable means.
7	Clean sealing and contact surfaces.		AR01.00-P-0050-01A

8	Check oil holes for deposits.	If deposits are present,

		Clean oil holes.
9	Check all component parts for damage and wear.	Always replace all sealing rings for filler and drain screws. If problems are found,

		replace affected components.
	Install
10	Coat new shaft seal (32) with multipurpose grease and install flush with housing upper edge of outer housing (13).	MB multipurpose grease, 400 g	*BR00.45-Z-1017-06A
11	Fix wheel hub (36) in assembly tool.	Assembly tool	Fig 3
12	Position thrust plate (2) on wheel hub (36).	Align the chamfer of the thrust plate (2) to the outside.
13	Fix outer housing (13) in place on assembly tool.	Assembly tool	Fig 3
14	Position screw (48) over wheel hub (36) in bore.	It is not possible to position the screw (48) later.
15	Install gearwheel (33) of wheel hub (36).
16	Install retaining ring (29).
17	Lubricate relay spur gear (24) with bearing cage and place into outer housing (13).	The upper edge of the relay spur gear (24) and the upper edge of the gearwheel (33) must sit flush.
		Note direction of installation. Install relay spur gear (24) so that the bearing cage is seated in the associated bearing shell. The short side points downwards.

18	Check seating of dowel pins (7) and adjust if necessary.	The dowel pins (7) must be installed up to the end stop in the external housing (13) in the correct position.
