REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove rear axle hub reduction gear.   AR35.25-P-0645GWX 
2 Disconnect housing halves. Model 463.234 up to model year 2019 with code ZQ0 (G 500 4x42 ) AR35.25-P-0650-01GWX

3 Secure gearwheel (34) of drive shaft to prevent it from turning. SPECIAL TOOL Blocking device Fig 3
4 Remove screw (8) and remove drive shaft.    
CLEANING Clean     
5 Clean all removed parts with suitable means.    
6 Clean sealing and contact surfaces.   AR01.00-P-0050-01A
  Notes on application of flange sealants to seal major assemblies   AH00.00-P-0500-01MNE
    Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
    Loctite 7200 *BR00.45-Z-1038-04A 
INSPECT Check     
7 Check oil holes for deposits. If deposits are present,  
    ↓  
    Clean oil holes.  
8 Check all component parts for damage and wear. IMPORTANT Always replace all sealing rings for filler  
    and drain screws.
If problems are found,		  
    ↓  
    replace affected components.  
INSTALLING Install  ↓  
9 Coat teeth of drive shaft with multipurpose grease and insert drive shaft from outside to inside into gearwheel (34). IMPORTANT The drive shafts are different lengths on the left and right sides.

10 Secure gearwheel (34) of drive shaft to prevent it from turning. SPECIAL TOOL Blocking device Fig 3
11 Fasten screw (8) with thread lock. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, gearwheel to drive shaft *BA35.25-P-1007-02A 
    Loctite 243 *BR00.45-Z-1066-01A
