	Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process		AH00.00-P-0020-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Notes on repair work on suspension components		AH00.00-P-0100-01A
	Remove/install
1	Remove left or right wheel and tire assembly from rear axle.		AR40.10-P-1102XG
2	Unscrew nut (2).
3	Unhook linkage (1) from left rear level sensor (B22/7) or from right rear level sensor (B22/10) at holder (3).
4	Remove screws (13) of lower protective cover (5).
5	Remove upper protective cover (4) and lower protective cover (5).
6	Remove screws at front of lower trailing arm (12) and remove cover over screw (7).
7	Unscrew nut-and-washer assembly (6) from bolt (7).	Remove bolt (7) only when removing the lower trailing arm (12). Screw, lower trailing arm to frame	*BA35.15-P-1010-02A
8	Unscrew nut (8).	Screw, lower trailing arm to rear axle	*BA35.15-P-1009-02A
9	Remove bolt (9), washers (10), adjusting shims (11) and release lower trailing arm (12) from rear axle.	Note version, location and installation position of adjusting shims (11). If this is not observed, wheel alignment measurement must be performed.
		Install adjusting shims (11) with opening facing downwards.
		The notch (arrow) on the adjusting shim (11) faces in the direction of travel.
10	Remove bolt (7) then remove lower trailing arm (12).
	Check
11	Check lower trailing arm (12) for damage.	If the lower trailing arm (12) is damaged,
		↓
		replace lower trailing arm (12).
12	Check condition of elastomer bearing on lower trailing arm (12).	If elastomer bearings on the lower trailing arm (12) are damaged,
		↓
		replace lower trailing arm (12).
13	Install in reverse order.
	Check
14	Perform a wheel alignment measurement.	When replacing the lower trailing arm (12) and if the original version, location and installation position of the adjusting shims (11) are not assured.
