	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Notes on AIRmatic		AH32.22-P-1000-02LW
	Remove/install
1	Remove front part of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LW
2	Remove expansion rivet (1) and detach fender liner from shock absorber
3	Release and disconnect electrical connection (2, 3) from AIRmatic compressor (A9/1)
4	Open bracket (5) and unhook air intake hose (4)
5	Detach air intake hose (4) from AIRmatic compressor (A9/1)	Seal air intake hose (4) using stop plug.
		Record plug	Fig 4
6	Detach pressure line (6) from AIRmatic compressor (A9/1)	Seal pressure line (6) with stop plug.
		Pressure line to compressor/valve unit (P)	*BA32.22-P-1004-03G
		Record plug If pressure line connection or pressure line (6) is damaged: ↓ Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.	Fig 4

7	Unscrew nuts (7) and remove AIRmatic compressor (A9/1)	Nut, compressor mounting to compressor unit bracket	*BA32.22-P-1001-03G
8	Replace AIRmatic relay	When replacing AIRmatic compressor (A9/1).
	Assignment of engine fuse and relay module		GF54.15-P-1256-32RF
		When replacing the AIRmatic compressor (A9/1), always replace the AIRmatic relay, as its switching contacts may have been damaged previously.
9	Modify elastomer bearing with brackets	When replacing AIRmatic compressor (A9/1).

10	Install in the reverse order
11	Check AIRmatic for leaks		AR32.22-P-8100LW
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12	Perform engine test run and check AIRmatic for proper operation
