	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. 	Remove/install
1	Remove low and high pressure line from expansion valve		AR83.30-P-5520LW
2	Carefully open cap at coolant expansion reservoir, release pressure from coolant system and close cap again
3	Pinch off coolant hoses (11) using pinch-off pliers
4	Release clamps (12) from coolant hoses (11) and pull back	Replace clamps (12).

5	Remove coolant hoses (11) from heat exchanger	Collect escaping coolant.
6	Seal heat exchanger connections	Record plug	Fig 8

10	Remove cross member under instrument panel	Bolt, cross member to A-pillar	*BA68.10-P-1001-02F
		Bolt, cross member to firewall below windshield	*BA68.10-P-1002-02F
		Bolt, cross member strut to side of transmission tunnel	*BA68.10-P-1004-02F
11	Disconnect electrical connectors (1, 2) from climate control, control unit (N22/1)
12	Disconnect electrical connector (3) from the blower regulator (A32n1)
13	Extend center air ducts (4) at air conditioner housing (A32)
14	Extend front footwell air ducts (5) at air conditioner housing (A32)
15	Carefully remove air conditioner housing (A32) and take off towards passenger side	Ensure correct seating of seal (6) between notch (7) of air conditioner housing (A32) and condensation drain (8). Otherwise condensation can get into the vehicle interior. Helper required. Make sure that studs (9) are seated in the guides (10).
16	Install in the reverse order
17	Pour in coolant and bleed engine cooling system	Model 205 Model 253

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 19	Perform an engine test run and check engine cooling system for proper operation
