	Remove/install	-	-
1	Disconnect battery ground line	-	AR54.10-D-0003SD
2	Slacken poly-V belt (10) and remove from belt pulley (11) for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7)	-	AR13.22-D-1202WE
3	Remove bolt (1) from bracket (2)	For model 906 up to 31.8.10	-
4	Lift/jack up vehicle	-	AR00.60-D-1000H
5	Remove bolts (14) and bracket (15)	model 906 as of 1.9.10	*BA09.40-N-1018-01R
6	Remove carrier for 2nd refrigerant compressor	For model 906.6 with code (H08) High performance A/C	AR83.55-D-5301WE
7	Detach charge air hose (7) at turbocharger (3)	-	AR09.41-D-1311-01WE
8	Close off connectors on charge air hose (7) and on turbocharger (3) using protective covers	Set of protective covers	Fig 1
9	Disconnect electrical connector (4) on AC generator with the LIN bus (G2/7)	-	-
10	Detach protective cap (12), unscrew nut (6) and remove electrical line (5) from alternator with the LIN bus (G2/7)		*BA15.40-N-1002-01P
11	Remove bolt (8) from bracket (2)		*BA15.40-N-1024-01P
12	Remove upper bolts (9), unclip bracket (2) on the retaining clamp (13) and remove bracket (2)	Tighten down upper and lower bolts (9).	*BA15.40-N-1013-01P
13	Remove upper bolts (9) and alternator with LIN bus (G2/7) downwards	Only screw in lower bolts (9).	-
	Checking	-	-
14	Check contact surface and freewheel of the belt pulley (11) for damage	Freewheel only for vehicles without code (MJ7) ECO Start. For damage to the belt pulley (11): ↓ Vehicles without code (MJ7) ECO Start: Replace belt pulley (11) for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7). Vehicles with code (MJ7) ECO Start: Replace alternator with LIN bus (G2/7).	AR15.40-D-5710SD
15	Remove belt pulley (11) for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7).	-	AR15.40-D-5710SD
16	Install in the reverse order	-	-
