| 2 | Unclip and remove cover (1) on the fan cowl (2) | ||
| 3 | Drain off about 3 liters of coolant at cooler drain valve | AR20.00-D-1140SD | |
| 4 | Remove coolant hose (11) | Figure | |
| 5 | Unclip coolant hose (3) on fan shroud (2) and place to one side | ||
| 6 | Remove cover (9) on both sides to the fan shroud (2) (arrow) | ||
| 7 | Loosen locks (5), remove fan shroud (2) upwards out of the brackets (4) and place to the rear | ||
| 8 | Cover cooler (6) in the area of the viscous fan clutch (7) with a guard plate | ||

| 9 | Place counterholder on the belt pulley of the water pump and unscrew screw/bolt (8) | *BA20.40-N-1002-01N | |
