MEASURING Measure
1 Remove rotor (7) IMPORTANT Only if there is severe contamination: AR43.40-D-1600C
2 Clean rotor (7) and pole flanges (8) using wire brush IMPORTANT Only if there is severe contamination:
3 Install rotor (7) IMPORTANT Only if rotor (7) was removed because of severe soiling. AR43.40-D-1600C
4 Use feeler gauge to measure gap widths at six points on the rotor (7) and the pole flange (8) opposite IMPORTANT When doing so, start at measuring point 1 (1) and determine the dimensions while working your way up to measuring point 6 (6). The corresponding feeler gauge must be able to be pulled through between the rotor (7) and pole flange (8) on the stator with a slight resistance.
Gap between rotor and stator *BE43.40-N-1001-01C
5 Calculate mean value from the six measurement values per rotor (7) IMPORTANT If the mean value is out of tolerance, the gap width must be adjusted on the corresponding rotor (7):
