| 2 | Unscrew the cap on the brake fluid expansion reservoir and suction off some brake fluid | ||

| 4 | Disconnect electrical connection for right front brake wear sensor (S10/2x1) from right front brake wear sensor (S10/2) | On the right side of the vehicle. | |
| 5 | Use suitable tool to knock out retaining pins (1) and remove retaining spring (2) | If the component condition is a problem ↓ Replace retaining pins (1) or retaining springs (2). |

| 6 | Remove brake linings (3) from brake caliper (4) | Do not apply brake paste or lubricants to the brake linings (3) and brake calipers (4). Malfunctions may occur otherwise. If the brake linings (3) are new, the film (6) must be removed. The brake linings (3) are to be installed so that arrow on them faces towards the running direction of the brake disks (5). |
