Remove/install seat with console - AR91.10-P-3300GR

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Activate service mode in Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid -car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.4.07 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid - car telephone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

3 Remove TELE AID control unit (A35/8) Model 463.246/249/271 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid car telephone emergency call system
IMPORTANT When removing front passenger seat.

4 Move front seat (1) to center position and highest position    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

6 Remove cover (2) and then the belt end fitting (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.40-P-1001-01C

7 Remove fire extinguisher holder (3) IMPORTANT When removing driver seat.  
8 Remove vehicle jack holder IMPORTANT When removing front passenger seat.  
9 Detach front seat wiring harness (4) from attachment on seat console (5) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install new cable ties.  
10 Disconnect driver seat connector (X55/15) IMPORTANT When removing driver seat.  
11 Unplug the plug connector for the front passenger seat (X55/16) IMPORTANT When removing front passenger seat.  
12 Press driver seat connector (X55/15) out of seat console (5) IMPORTANT When removing driver seat.  
13 Press front passenger seat connector (X55/16) out of seat console (5) IMPORTANT When removing front passenger seat.  
14 Disconnect pneumatic line (6) from coupling IMPORTANT Only with code (SM7) Left front multicontour seat or code (SM8) Front passenger multicontour seat  
15 Remove bolts (7) on seat console (5) at front and rear Sealant *BR00.45-Z-1003-01A 
16 Remove front seat (1) together with seat console (5)    
17 Install in the reverse order    
18 Deactivate service mode in Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid -car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.4.07 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid - car telephone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

19 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT STAR DIAGNOSIS
Stored faults which may be caused by removed cables or by a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
 
  Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
20 Perform function test on front seat (1)    
21 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200P
