| 3 | Remove water hose on left spray nozzle and unhook from left bracket | Model 253 When removing left hinge (1). |

| 4 | Unhook water hose from hinge (1) | When removing left hinge (1). | |
| 5 | Lift retainer (13) with suitable screwdriver and unclip gas-filled strut (12) from hinge (1) | Otherwise the tension of the retainer (13) can be lost. |

| 6 | Lay dry cloth between engine hood (7) and air/water duct | Otherwise the engine hood (7) and adjacent components can be damaged. |

| 7 | Unscrew nuts (10) and carefully lay engine hood (7) down on dry cloth | ||

| 9 | Remove hinge (1) | Installation: Observe routing water hose by hinge (1). |
