	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Shift the transmission into position "N" or into idle position
2	Switch off ignition
3	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
4	Detach rear complete wheels		AR40.10-P-1101A
5	Remove the left and right underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001LW
6	Remove cover (1)	If installed.
7	Remove required components of exhaust system	MODEL 205 with ENGINE 651	AR49.10-P-7100LWB
		MODEL 205 with ENGINE 274.9	AR49.10-P-7100LWA
8	Detach drive shaft from rear axle differential, hang to one side and fix in place		AR41.10-P-0050LW
9	Detach brake caliper with connected brake hoses and hang to one side free of tension		AR42.10-P-0080LW
		The coupling housing for the brake wear sensors must be removed from the brake calipers. The electrical connections on the actuator motors of the electric parking brake must be detached.
10	Remove rear shock absorber		AR32.25-P-0110LW
11	Unscrew bolts (2, 3) on left and right	Bolt, rpm sensor to steering knuckle	*BA42.30-P-1001-02K
12	Remove bracket (4) at right and left with rpm sensors and electrical lines, hang to one side and fix in place
13.1	Remove rear axle springs	MODEL 205 without CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)

13.2	Remove air springs	MODEL 205 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
			AR32.22-P-1500LW
14	Detach electrical connections from level sensors and hang electrical lines to one side	If installed.

15	Remove bolts (5) from stop plates (6)	Bolt, stop plate to body	*BA35.10-P-1003-01H
16	Position lifting table with mount (10) onto rear axle (9) and secure in place using tensioning strap	Major assembly lifting platform/scissors trolley jack
17	Remove bolts (7) from front elastomer bearing and remove stop plates (6)	Do not use an impact wrench. Clean thread in frame floor assembly using compressed air only, and check threaded inserts are correctly seated.

18	Remove bolts (8) from rear elastomer bearing	Do not use an impact wrench. Clean thread in frame floor assembly using compressed air only, and check threaded inserts are correctly seated.
		Self-locking bolt securing rear decoupling element of rear axle carrier to frame floor assembly	*BA35.10-P-1002-01H
19	Carefully lower rear axle (9)	Make sure that the rear axle (9) does not get stuck on the exhaust pipe when lowering (arrow). Slide lifting table with mount (10) slightly to the rear when lowering.
20	Install in the reverse order
21	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200LW
