Inspect front axle joint for play, inspect rubber boots - AP33.20-P-3353SX

INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush  or, in extreme cases, even sever  extremities No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1 Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground Model 216, 221

2 Check rubber boots (7m) of supporting joints (7k) for leaktightness and condition IMPORTANT If the rubber boot (7m) is leaky, cracked or damaged, install a new spring control arm (7) subject to separate invoice: ↓
Remove/install, spring control arm at front axle:

3 Check rubber boots (18m) on ball joints (18k) of torque struts (18) for leaktightness and condition IMPORTANT If the rubber boot (18m) is leaky, cracked or damaged, install a new strut rod (18) subject to separate invoice: ↓
Remove/install torque strut at front axle:

4 Check rubber boots (10m) on joints (10k) of link rods (10) of stabilizer bar (11) for leaktightness and condition Vehicles with stabilizer bar (11)
IMPORTANT If the rubber boot (10m) is leaky, cracked or damaged, install a new link rod (10) subject to separate invoice:
 
5 Check rubber boots (8m) on ball joints (8k) of upper transverse control arm (8) for leaks and condition IMPORTANT If the rubber boot (8m) is leaky, cracked or damaged, install a new upper transverse control arm (8) subject to separate invoice: ↓
Remove/install upper wishbone:

8 Check ball joints (18k) of torque struts (18) IMPORTANT Check ball joints (18k) for play by pulling and pressing firmly on the torque strut (18) for play. In event of play on strut rod (18) replace subject to separate invoice:

Remove/install torque strut at front axle:

9 Check ball joints (10k) of link rods (10) of stabilizer bar (11) Vehicles with stabilizer bar (11)
IMPORTANT Check ball joints (10k) of link rods (10) for play by pulling and pushing on stabilizer bar (11). In event of play on link rod (10) replace subject to separate invoice:
 
10 Check ball joints (8k) of upper transverse control arm (8) IMPORTANT Check ball joints (8k) for play by pulling and pressing firmly on the steering knuckles (12). In event of play on upper transverse control arm (8) replace subject to separate invoice: ↓
Remove/install upper wishbone:

11 Check ball joints (9k) or bearings of suspension struts (9) IMPORTANT Check ball joints (9k) or bearings for wear by pulling and pressing firmly on the suspension struts (9). In event of play on spring control arm replace subject to separate invoice (7): ↓
