| 3 | Unscrew nut (5) and remove level sensor connecting rod from upper transverse control arm (4) | When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced. |

| 4 | Unscrew nut, pull out bolt (2) and remove upper ball joint (1) from steering knuckle (3) | *BA33.20-P-1006-01S | |
| 5 | Secure steering knuckle (3) using cable tie to prevent it from tilting away | Do not stretch the brake hose and cables. Otherwise they could be damaged. |

| 10 | Unhook A/C line (8) from coolant expansion reservoir (6) | ||
| 11 | Remove nut (7) and place coolant expansion reservoir (6) to one side with lines still connected | ||
| 12 | Detach upper transverse control arm (4) from front end | *BA33.20-P-1005-01S | |
| 13 | Check upper ball joint (1) | Remove/install follower joint of steering knuckle bearing |
