	Remove/install
1	Vent pressure in AIRmatic system using diagnostic system

	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
2	Open and lock engine hood
3	Detach corresponding front complete wheel
			AP40.10-P-4050HA
4	Detach electrical connection (1) from suspension strut (2)
5	Open cable duct (3) on suspension strut (2) and place to one side
6	Open holder (4) and unhook brake hose
7	Secure steering knuckle (5) against folding down
8	Detach transverse control arm from steering knuckle (5)		AR33.20-P-0500LF

10	Detach suspension strut (2) from spring control arm (7)	Insertion direction of screw/bolt (8): Screw/bolt (8) must be inserted from the front. 11	Remove corresponding covers (9) from suspension strut tower

13	Detach cover lining (11) and place to one side

15	Remove suspension strut (2) downwards
16	Detach bracket (4) from suspension strut (2)	When replacing suspension strut (2). Replace cable tie and fasten in place using pliers .
	Check
17	Check condition of suspension strut (2)	When reinstalling suspension strut (2) If damaged or worn ↓ Replace suspension strut (2) Dispose of the damaged suspension strut (2) correctly.
18	Check condition of suspension strut joint on spring control arm (7)	If damaged or worn ↓ Replace suspension strut joint	AR33.15-P-0115LF
19	Measure length of suspension strut (2)	Compare the measured length of the suspension strut (2) with the leaflet for the new suspension strut (2). If dimension differs ↓ Do not install suspension strut (2); replace with a new suspension strut (2)
20	Install in the reverse order
21	Check AIRmatic system for leaktightness		AR32.22-P-8100LF
