	Remove/install
1	Perform disable for the high-voltage on-board electrical system	Model 222.004/057/104/157/163 When removing upper transverse control arm (5) on right side.	AR54.10-P-1150LF
2	Remove corresponding front suspension strut (1)	Model 217 with code 487 (Active Body Control (ABC)) Model 222 with code 487 (Active Body Control (ABC))	AR32.25-P-1017LFA

3	Detach electrical connection (2) from front level sensor
4	Secure steering knuckle (3) against folding down	Cable ties (arrow) can be used.
5	Remove support from working area and lower vehicle	Do not lower vehicle too far.
6	Remove right reinforcement (7)	Model 222.004/057/104/157/163 When removing upper transverse control arm (5) on right side. Tighten bolts only when in ready-to-drive condition. Bolt, reinforcement to firewall/longitudinal member/reinforcement, center	*BA62.25-P-1001-01B
		Bolt, reinforcement to suspension strut support	*BA62.25-P-1002-01B
7	Remove corresponding front engine compartment cover
8	Unscrew nuts (4) on corresponding side of vehicle	Nut, transverse control arm to body	*BA33.20-P-1005-01T
9	Pull out bolts and remove upper transverse control arm (5) while doing so
10	Unscrew nut (6) and remove front level sensor with bracket from upper transverse control arm (5)	When replacing upper transverse control arm (5). Pay attention to installation position. Nut, connecting strut to upper transverse control arm	*BA82.10-P-1002-01D
11	Check elastomer bearing, ball-and-socket-type joint and dust boot on upper transverse control arm (5)	When reinstalling upper transverse control arm (5). If wear or damage present ↓ Replace upper transverse control arm (5)
12	Install in the reverse order
