	Remove/install
1	Detach steering coupling from rack-and-pinion steering (1)		AR46.10-P-8000GQ
2	Remove front axle gear	Only with 4MATIC
			AR33.30-P-0525GQ
3	Remove right lower control arm		AR33.20-P-0510GZ
4	Detach cable duct (2) from front axle carrier
5	Unlock and disconnect electrical connectors (3) on electrical power steering control unit (N68)
6	Remove bracket (4a, 4b) from rack-and-pinion steering (1)
7	Remove hose lines for Active Roll Stabilization valve support from working area	Only with CODE 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)
8	Mark installation position of cover (5) on rack-and-pinion steering (1) and remove cover (5)
9	Remove bolts (1a, 1b) and remove retaining plate (1h)	Bolt, rack-and-pinion steering to front axle carrier	*BA46.20-P-1001-01O
		Bolted connection, supporting plate to front axle carrier	*BA46.20-P-1002-01O
10	Remove rack-and-pinion steering (1) to right and out of the front axle carrier
11	Enter new steering number for rack-and-pinion steering (1) through Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc) into vehicle data card online	When replacing rack-and-pinion steering (1) Redocumentation is compulsory!
12	Install in the reverse order
