Remove/install steering coupling - AR46.10-P-8000GQ

	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1	Deactivate easy entry/exit function	MODEL 166 with CODE 275 (Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors))
2	Detach ground line from battery		AR54.10-P-0003GZ
	Notes on battery		AH54.10-P-0001-01A
3	Turn steering wheel to central position (front wheels in straight ahead position) and secure with the retaining device	The steering wheel must not be turned when the steering coupling (1) has been detached. Otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

4	Remove cover (6)
5	Remove cover (7)
6.1	Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit from bracket and place to one side with attached lines	MODEL 166 with ENGINE 276.9 with CODE 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)

6.2	Remove left-hand air filter housing	MODEL 166 with ENGINE 642 with CODE 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)
			AR09.10-P-1150OGR
7	Remove bolt (3)	Bolt, steering coupling to steering shaft	*BA46.10-P-1001-01J
8	Remove bolt (5)	Bolt, steering coupling to rack-and-pinion steering	*BA46.10-P-1002-01J
9	Detach steering coupling (1) from rack-and-pinion steering (2)		AR46.20-P-0600-01GZ
		Do not use force (hammer blows, excessive leverage). Otherwise the rack-and-pinion steering (2) will be damaged. Turn rack-and-pinion steering (2) to center position, install steering coupling (1).
10	Detach steering coupling (1) from steering shaft (4)
11	Remove steering coupling (1)
12	Install in the reverse order
