		When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
		Only tighten the bolts and nuts of the chassis components when in a ready-to-drive condition.

2	Empty AIRmatic using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Vehicles with code (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS). 7	Make color marking indicating installation position of rear bearing bracket of lower control arm (3) relative to front axle carrier
8	Remove screw/bolts (4, 5)	Perform final tightening when vehicle is on the measuring platform or in K0 position. Otherwise the rubber mount will be twisted. Align with the marks made previously. When installing new parts, transfer the markings to the new parts in order to achieve approximately the original adjustment position.

9	Remove screw (6)	Perform final tightening when vehicle is on the measuring platform or in K0 position. Otherwise the rubber mount will be twisted. Make sure that the installation position of the spacer washer (7) corresponds to the position shown.
